What Was Your First…?
Food or Drink
By: Emily Carrington
I grew up raised on haddock and maple walnut ice cream. It’s almost impossible to separate one from the other, although together they make a terrible combination!
I tend to crave haddock or maple walnut ice cream in stages. When I haven’t had fish in a while, it’s haddock all the way. And when I’ve just turned in a new book, it’s maple walnut ice cream that I crave.
Which means, I’m longing for that particular flavor of ice cream because I just finished Medically necessary 3: Trust is Sacred.
Medically Necessary is all about what’s right for the good of the pack, the good of the individual, and where those two conflict. Amir is a doctor and a submissive wolf who persuades rather than ordering. Oliver is a dominant wolf who wants to be alpha more than anything else… until he meets Amir. The two have dark secrets about past abuse but neither is ready to share.
Here are the first two books in the series:
Medically Necessary 1: Trust is Earned
Amir is a General Practitioner for magical creatures, particularly werewolves and some of the less-numerous supernatural peoples. When the leader of all werewolves comes to him with a problem that presents like psychosis, Amir needs help, but as a submissive wolf, he’s hesitant to trust anyone. The dominants have always tried to abuse their power.
Ever since Oliver nearly defeated his home pack’s beta, he’s been nursing a grieving heart and a chip on his shoulder. Still, when Amir asks for his help, he jumps at the chance. The submissive wolf is beautiful.
For Amir and Oliver, the threat to all werewolf kind draws them together as much as their physical attraction. But the truth is, their wounds may rip them apart. Can either of them learn to trust?
Medically Necessary 2: Trust is Fraught
From insisting on a bed for their first time to protecting Amir from everything, Oliver is stepping all over Amir’s last nerve. It’s almost too bad the submissive wolf wants dominant Oliver in the worst way.
Amir’s frustration with Oliver doesn’t cancel out his attraction to the other wolf. As they fall deeper into the dangers of the psychic world in an effort to rescue their leader, their love may be the only thing keeping them sane.
As the leader of the werewolves sinks further into insanity, Amir and Oliver are pushed to their limits to find out what’s causing his decline. Once they discover the truth, it’s another struggle, this one against prejudice and time, to rescue the alpha above all alphas.
